Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Disney Plus’s upcoming Obi-Wan series.
Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, will be reprising his role in Disney’s upcoming Obi-Wan series, featuring Ewan McGregor who played Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Phantom Menace and the aforementioned films.
News of Christensen’s return was released by the President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, who made the announcement at a recent Disney Investors Day.
“We couldn’t tell the story of Obi-Wan without Darth Vader,” said the Mandalorian director, and soon-to-be director of the Obi-Wan series, Deborah Chow.
“We will definitely see Obi-Wan and Darth Vader get into it again.”
The new Obi-Wan series will be released on Disney Plus and takes place between the 3rd and 4th Star wars films chronologically after Anakin Skywalker has become Darth Vader following a confrontation with his former Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Filming for the new series will begin in 2021.
