Pfizer and BioNTech are determined to release their Covid-19 vaccine as soon as possible, setting the optimistic benchmark of December 2020.
“There is a chance that we can receive approval from the US or Europe or both regions this year still” says BioNTech Cofounder Ugure Sahin. “We may even start delivering the vaccine in December,” he added, “if everyone works together very closely”.
While Australia will almost certainly have to wait a while longer, recent survey results indicate that not all Australians are entirely willing to receive the vaccine at the point of its release.
Time will tell whether our attitude will remain the same when the vaccine reaches our shores.
