Upcoming Covid-19 Vaccine Shows Promising Results

Evan Anderson and his colleagues at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, recently tested the vaccine prototype developed by biotech company, Moderna.

40 people aged 56 and above were administered two separate shots of either 25μg or 100μg of vaccine, 28 days apart.

All participants were shown to have developed high levels of Covid antibodies following the second shot, especially those that were administered the higher dose.

Any side effects were mostly mild to moderate in severity, and predominantly included fatigue, chills, headache, myalgia, and pain at the injection site.
